The Social Business Company is now a Certified B Corps

We’re happy to announce that TANIA ELLIS – The Social Business Company® has become a formal part of the global business force for good with the recognized B Corp Certification.

This means that we not only continue our commitment to being a company for the greater good, but that we now also legally commit to it.

From creating to measuring sustainability impact

Making a meaningful difference and creating an impact for the greater good has since day 1 been a central driver of our mission and business services.

So for the past 16 years TANIA ELLIS – The Social Business Company® has inspired thousands of professionals and helped hundreds of companies to create value for society and the bottom line.

But finding a system to actually measure our impact is a factor that we along with many other companies have to address and report on. This is where the B Corp certification is bringing particular value to us.

A rigorous process

Becoming a B Corp has been a rigorous process of documenting the impact of our business in terms of verified societal and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.

With the B Corp assessment scores we’re now able to measure our impact, evaluate how well we’re doing and what still needs to be done.

You can read more about how we perform in the impact areas Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers in our B Corp Impact Report.

Now a part of a global business force for good

We’re so delighted to have become a formal part of the global B Corp movement and community of companies like Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, Alpro and Natura as well as other ambitious Danish B Corp brands such as Skagerak, Letz Sushi, Goodwings and Better World.

Even though the B Corp community represents a wide range of industries and sectors, we all share a common goal:

To redefine business, so that one day no company will strive to be the best company in the world – but to be the best company for the world.

Explains founder and CEO, Tania Ellis: “For almost two decades, we’ve raised awareness of how business can be a force for good, and we’ve been part of the solution ourselves by making it our business to inspire and help others to take action as well. Now with the certification, we stand even stronger. Together with our BCorp friends, we hope to make an even bigger difference.
