This month Tania Ellis was interviewed by Business Battlefield – a student-driven leadership competition at Copenhagen Business School – for at talk about responsible leadership and sustainable business.
The interview is aimed at young responsible leaders or sustainable career starters looking for inspiration on how to embark on the sustainability journey.
Here’s some of the advice that came out of our talk:
“Don’t worry if you don’t have your personal mission cast in stone. It’s about doing your best, and making the most out of even the most boring task – try to apply your talent in the best possible way within the context that you’re in. Because sometimes you won’t really understand what it is that you can get out of being in your current workplace – but when you look forward in time, it will all make sense… it’s a journey…!”
“Sustainable business starts with understanding the business, the organisational culture – and of course also what sustainability is all about. You need to understand these three elements, because in most cases companies are going through not only a business transition, but also a transition of mindset.”
A big thank you to Business Battlefield for shedding light on the most important leadership topic of our time!
