Since 2018, elected board member at Plastic Change. Their mission is to work with documentation, information, education and solutions that will raise awareness of plastic pollution in the general population, the industry and the political system, so that future generations may come to live in an environment free of plastic pollution.
Since 2013 advisory board member of FOSIA, a student-led non-profit Forum for Social Innovation at Aarhus University. FOSIA's objective is to engage Danish students in creating new solutions and tools to environmental and social issues.
Since 2007, advisory board member for oikos Develop Prize, a Danish student organisation at Copenhagen Business Schoo, which organizes an annual case competition, where students submit business ideas with a potential to create both economic and social value in developing countries.
Since 2012 advisory board member for The Social Capital Fund, Denmark's first social venture fund. The fund invests capital and competencies in promising social entrepreneurs. The aim is to develop social businesses and scale their social and economic value creation for the benefit of society.
Since 2012 advisory board member for Social+, a Danish launchpad that helps social inventors with the process and development of ideas, through counseling and mentoring. Additionally, they are co-organizers of SIX Nordic, a network for social inventors.
In 2013 advisory board member of Ecolabelling Denmark, who is responsible for the administration of the only two officially approved ecolabels in Denmark: The Nordic Ecolabel and the European Ecolabel. The advisory board will assist Ecolabelling Denmark in how eco-labelling can contribute further to green sustainability.
In 2012, appointed member of the Danish Ministry of the Environment's think tank, contributing with perspectives and ideas as to how sustainable consumption and green business models can be promoted and supported on a national and international level. The result of the think tank will be published on 31 January 2013.
In 2012, appointed judge at Fellowship - a Danish platform for social entrepreneurs. Fellowship offers 5 sustainable projects a 5-month counseling and scholarship course in social and sustainable innovation with the purpose of supporting the establishment and effectiveness of these 5 projects. The judges select and judge the projects.
From 2009-2011 board member of "Fødevarebanken", a food bank project that aims at helping low income families to a healthier living by collecting and preparing surplus and perishable fresh food from the food industry. The food is delivered to social service agencies, who distribute it to socially marginalised groups in Denmark.
From 2009-2012 appointed by the Danish Ministry of the Interior and Social Affairs to represent the private sector as board member for the national knowledge, competence and development centre, Centre for Voluntary Social Work.
In 2010 part of judge panel together with Vincent Hendricks og Mads Øvlisen for Idea Factor, a corporate social innovation competition hosted by the Danish Government Centre for CSR. 56 corporate social innovations were presented, and the winner was awarded with 100,000 DKK.
In 2010, member of the Selection Committee for the Humanitarian Water & Food Award. The Water & Food Award is given to the most innovative, sustainable and humanitarian project that helps people without access to clean water and food.
In 2009 advisory board member for WeCollaborate that promotes innovative solutions to social and environmental problems by facilitating cross-sector networks and partnerships.
From 2009-2011, advisory board member of Niels Brock Business Academy's Iværksætterhuset [Entrepreneurship House] with focus on their education programmes. The mission is to promote and stimulate young people's entrepreneurial competencies and urge to start their own businesses.
From 2009-2010 advisory board member for CBS, RUC, Lund University og Malmö Högskola that have launched a joint “Minor in Social Entrepreneurship and Not-for-Profit Management”.
In 2009 member of the Danish Ministry of the Interior and Social Affairs' committee for reorganisation of governmental grants to voluntary social organisations to ensure good framework for innovative and sustainable solutions to political welfare challenges.

In 2008, member of the jury panel for Danish company TrygVesta's BusinessLab Incubation Experiment for Corporate Social Innovation (CSI) and Diversity. Ideas are collected and selected to become business concepts, built on social, sustainable innovation.
In 2007, advisory board member of The GreenCarbon Initiative that works to promote and develop an instrument for binding carbon in eco-systems. The aim is to contribute to the reduction of climate change.
From 2007-2009, board member of Kufunda-Denmark, a Danish friendship association supporting the learning experiment Kufunda Learning Village in Zimbabwe. Among other issues, the village works with renewable energy, organic farms, and learning projects.
In 2006 and 2007, Tania Ellis worked as a professional member of the board for the international interior decoration company Rice A/S. The company was one of the first in Denmark to be certified in social responsibility (SA8000).
